Te Pai centre is the home of Netball Waitakere and an incredible community events venue. We have affordable and professional meeting, event and wedding venues ranging from 50 to over 1000 capacity. Modern, easy and local, we welcome everyone to enjoy Te Pai.

About this space

Te Pai is an incredible community venue in the heart of West Auckland. Perfect for businesses, government, community and of course our family of sports clubs, we have quality facilities that will make your event easy and successful.

The Kowhai room is a large and flexible space with views out over our indoor arena. It's a blank space that works for everything from a simple presentation to a wedding. You can really make it your own.

We recommend the room for conferences, meetings, weddings, presentations, birthday parties, Christmas parties, corporate functions, community gatherings, training and team workshops.

The room hire includes:

Set up and pack down, full clean post event, use of all the AV kit including microphone, sound system, large screen and projector, wi-fi and whiteboard.

The room is light filled and spacious. It has a large open space with options to present on a large screen on the arena side or window side. It has it's own bar and a serving area for catering.

The room AV is set up to work for professional events. There is a microphone, speakers, high quality screen and projector. The use of this is included in the room hire, just let us know what you need at checkout so we can get it set up for you. It can seat 240 banquet style and accommodate 350 cocktail style. It's completely private and quiet as upstairs from our main centre.

Out of hours fee - for all events requiring staff after 4pm or before 9am a fixed $50 fee is automatically added to the booking.

Security - if your event will serve alcohol to the public in the evening, we will supply 2 security guards for a minimum of 2 hours during your event. Please add this option to the booking at checkout if this applies to you.

Netball Waitakere Members

If you're a Netball Waitakere member, you will automatically get a 20% discount by using the discount code NWMEMBER2021 at the checkout. This will be checked against our database and is only for NW members.

Catering and Alcohol

We are happy for you to self cater your event or bring in an external caterer. Alternatively we have convenient options from Fernz

We work with Fernz Catering to provide lots of different and delicious food and drink options for your event. They can create a bespoke option for your event or choose from their tried and tested package options:

  • Finger food - Tasty options like antipasto, chicken skewers and slow roasted pork belly sliders
  • Buffet - Hot options like Beef Stroganoff and roasted potatoes and big sharing salads like spiced baby beetroot
  • Staff Party - hot meat platters like triple glazed champagne ham, buffet dinner and beautiful sharing salads
  • Breakfast - hot options like build your own brekkie and a selection of continental options like croissants, cereals and freshly baked artisanal breads.
  • Wedding - Affordable full wedding service including bubbles on arrival, canapes and delicious multi course dinner.

Fernz is our exclusive catering supplier, so unfortunately we don't allow any other caterers for your event.

The Kowhai room has a fully stocked and licensed bar that Fernz Catering runs. You're welcome to use this as part of your event.

The room can be transformed with drapes and lighting - check out the photos to get some inspiration. We're happy to discuss options and ideas with you and can recommend trusted suppliers to work with you on getting the space to look and feel how you want it.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 7 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
Parking and Public Transport Information

We have lots of onsite, free parking for your guests

Te Pai is nestled in the heart of West Auckland, over looked by the Waitakere ranges. It's a 10 minute walk from Lincoln village and lots of coffee/eating options.

It's a 20 minute drive or taxi from the CBD, just off the SH16.
