About this space

At Remuera Baptist Church, we love to invite the community to use our range of spaces for classes, meetings, concerts, community events, and other functions.

The hall is a large and unfilled 14.5m x 9.7m space with wooden floors great for dance lessons, other classes, children’s activities and functions. It can also seat up to 100 when chairs are set up seminar style. Please note that no alcohol can be consumed on the premises.

Please note that the Remuera Baptist church Spaces are only available for community events (not commercial events) and all bookings will be accepted or declined at the discretion of RBC.

Space Rules:

  1. No alcoholic beverage can be served or consumed on the property.

  2. No smoking on the property.

  3. You are responsible for all breakages which occur during the time of your use.  Breakages or any damage are to be reported to our Property Manager.

  4. The reasonable behaviour of all persons and ensuring that no excessive noise occurs.

  5. Ensuring that nothing is attached to the walls of the auditorium or lounge.

  6. Ensuring cleanliness on vacating the premises, i.e. the floor clean, kitchen tidy, dishes washed and put away, rubbish taken away, toilets left clean. Spaces must be left arranged how they were found.

  7. Vacating premises promptly at the time stated.

  8. Ensuring that the premises are secure when vacating the building, ie. lock the doors, shut the windows and turn off the lights, heaters and appliances.

  9. For regular users, prompt payments, as per arrangement with the office administrator, is appreciated.

  10. No persons are to use any of the audio visual or sound equipment in the main auditorium or lounge without the approval of an RBC technician. 

  11. RBC accepts no liability for any damage to or loss of property stored on our premises.  Insurance for such property is the responsibility of the user.

  12. A basic first aid kit is located in the kitchen

  13. Please familiarise yourselves with the location of fire alarms and Fire Action notices throughout the facility.  In the event of fire, please call 111 immediately and evacuate the building. Evacuation meeting point is in the carpark.

  14. Bond prices for hirage are event dependent and will be issued at the discretion of the church, agreed by the mutual parties.

  15. RBC reserves the right to amend these conditions of use.

Additional details

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
Parking and Public Transport Information

There is a carpark attached to the church that is available for use. There is also a large amount of road-side parking that is available.

However, our resource consent stipulates that the carpark next to the church is reserved for the sole use of our kindergarten and childcare during certain times of the day, Monday - Friday, as displayed on the sign outside.  These times are: 8:45 – 9:30am, 11:45am – 1:30pm, 3:15 – 4:00pm. Therefore, our users cannot enter or exit the carpark during these times.
