The Patriot is an English themed pub in the heart of Devonport, Auckland’s village by the sea. The pub is in the iconic New Zealand Bank building, a heritage treasure on the Main Street. Inside you will find a hearty welcome from our friendly team, excellent and delicious pub fare and a range of drinks from popular breweries across NZ and Britain.

Our main function space is perfect for your next social gathering, team meeting or special celebration. Newly renovated and benefitting from natural light, flexible layout and it’s own private bar, this space is perfect, hassle free and in a top location. The room hire is free with a minimum spend of $1000 for Friday and Saturday nights. The minimum spend is $300 for other times.

The room is freshly renovated, has stunning wooden floors, original fireplace and fixtures. The room comes with:

The room also benefits from an additional outside veranda overlooking the pub garden and our famous big British mural. This is perfect for summer parties, enjoying a cold drink as the sun sets. We have outdoor heating to keep you toasty in winter (alongside your beer jacket!). The veranda is open only until 10.30pm.

Host your wedding party here - for up to 100 guests, no hireage fee, private space & bar and pre order our tasty platters for your guests.
Corporate team day - Good AV and presentation facilities for teams of up to 30 people. Have a pub lunch on the veranda and celebrate with a round of drinks afterwards.
Put on a gig or performance - our space is the ideal setting for an intimate stand up, band, poetry or whatever you’d like to perform.

Catering options
For smaller groups, you can order from our menu of traditional pub meals. We get rave reviews for our mixed grill and bangers and mash.
For larger groups for sit down meals, we recommend you pre-order. We also have a platter option that is great, and very economical for larger groups,
As the room hire is free, we ask that you don’t bring in your own food and drink.

On the Main Street in Devonport we’re less than 10 mins walk from the Ferry terminal with frequent connections to the city and Waiheke.
Also close to bus connections serving the North Shore.
Plenty of free on street parking within a 5 minute radius.
