A central Urban Farm supporting connected, sustainable communities. Established on a former industrial site in East Perth, this polluted site has been lovingly rehabilitated by volunteers to become a Western Australian icon for environmental sustainability and community engagement. We provide space and opportunities to build community connections, and educate and enable people to live sustainably.

About this space

Perth City Farm is a not-for-profit community organisation and unique urban sanctuary situated in East Perth.
The indoor space has whitewashed walls, terracotta flooring and exposed steal beams. The barn opens out onto our beautiful courtyard that is surrounded by established gardens, street art and rustic buildings; creating the perfect contrast of urban and natural elements. There is also an adjacent kitchen to barn to make self-catering a breeze.

Minimum hire period: 3 hours, or 6 hours of recurring bookings.

MON-THURS hire: Price drops to $95/hr if booked more than 6 hours, and maximum charge is $950 even if booked for more than 10hours. Use code 'PCF15OFF' when booking.

The venue can be styled up or down to suit any type of event and can fit 150 people seated indoors, 200 standing indoors, or 500 total throughout the area (with additional toilets). Food trucks, pizza trailers and caravan bars can drive into the courtyard if you want something easy and relaxed... or a 5 star catering company can utilise the kitchen to serve a sit-down meal.

Fridays and Saturdays NOT AVAILABLE

Sundays ONLY AVAILABLE for 12noon Sunday - 10am Monday hire slot (curfew of 2am on the night). Surcharge applicable, includes cleaning fee.

As a BYO venue - you a responsible for the hiring and set up of all equipment, furniture and decor, and need to organise your own food and drink. We have a small rustic furniture package available to hire, as well as a budget friendly set of plastic furniture (both suitable for 50pax). If hired, you are responsible to set these up and pack them away. Your hire period must include the time you need for set up and pack down.
If hiring the space during office hours, we also have a small AV package available to hire.

Noise limitations from the City of Perth must be adhered to.

Barn space fits 200 people cocktail or 150 seated. Full area (Barn, Kitchen and Courtyard) suits up to 500 people cocktail style, but additional toilets must be hired in.

Public liability insurance certificates must be provided for all businesses/suppliers operating in the space or bringing equipment on-site.

Security is mandatory for events with a large number of guests under 25yo. Failure to disclose this information will result in loss of security bond.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 60 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
Parking and Public Transport Information

We are just down the stairs of Claisebrook Train Sation (2 stops from the City) and have a Yellow CAT bus stop just out the front. The City of Perth Royal St Carpark is just across the road...however during office hours this can be very busy! Before 8am and after 4pm Mon-Fri is generally fine.
