Meet Shakka the Shark! Shakka stands tall as one of Port Pirie's most legendary icons. This enormous great white pointer met an unusual fate, getting tangled in a snapper line and meeting its end in the depths of Germein Bay. Its story became woven into local folklore when it was brought ashore. Now, you can marvel at a life-sized replica of this 5.5-metre behemoth, complete with the original jaws, fin, and the captivating tale behind this magnificent creature, all on display seven days a week at the Tourism and Arts Centre.

While you're here, why not try Virtual Reality Shark Cage Diving. This interactive experience simulates a shark cage dive and is not for the faint hearted.

Or immerse yourself in a captivating underwater paradise as you join a team of researchers and scientists exploring the depths during feeding time at Cocos Shark Island.

Thrill seekers must be 12 years and above to take part in this experience (as per manufacturers guidelines) and must also complete a VR consent form on the day.
