SpacetoCo Host since February 2023The Murgheboluc Hall is a beautiful bluestone building built in 1855. It was used as the local school from 1855 until 1934 and had up to 100 students. The building and surrounding grounds have been used as a Public Hall and Recreation Reserve since the early 1920’s. The hall and surrounding reserve are available for hire and great for weddings, parties, meetings, kids birthday parties and sports.

About this space
The building and surrounding grounds have been used as a Public Hall and Recreation Reserve since the early 1920’s under the management of the Murgheboluc Hall Committee representing The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
The hall and surrounding area is available for hire. The hall has a main room with wooden floor boards 6 x 13.7m, high ceiling and a small corner stage approximately 2x 1.5m. The extension on the west side of the building has painted concrete floors and includes a kitchen, two bathrooms and storage area (there are no showers).

Fireplace in the main hall, you must supply your own firewood and ensure it is completely out and no hot coals remain before leaving.
Kitchen supplies include; fridge/ freeze, microwave, urn, double sink, cutlery, bowels/ plates.
The surrounding area includes; an oval, small gazebo with a picnic table, three outdoor power points, a set of swings and a slide for children.
Water supply is from rainwater tanks on site.

Rules
Hirers to vacate the premises by 11:30pm, for multi day bookings we request the music be turned off at midnight please.
Outdoor fires permitted within a fire pit, depending on current fire ban/ fire danger rating in the area. Hirer must ensure it is completely out and no hot coals remain before leaving.
This venue is strictly no smoking (or vaping) - INDOORS
Liquor and gaming permits maybe required and it is the responsibility of the hirer to obtain any licences or permits required. Please contact the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor regulations if unsure.
Liability Insurance: All hirers must arrange public liability insurance to cover their event and upload proof to Space to Co at least a month prior to their booking. Hirers are also required to supply proof of public liability/ business insurance for all contractors that they arrange to work on the Reserve/ Hall grounds. This includes but is not limited to; caterers, marque/ hire companies, hair/ make up professionals, cleaners, photographers and DJ/ entertainment.
Toilets- hirer must supply their own hand towel and toilet paper. If you have more than 50 guests you are required to arrange portable toilets. (The old septic system will back-up/ overflow if over used).
Cleaning- It is the responsibility of the hirer to leave the building and reserve area as it was found and supply their own cleaning products. Failure to comply will result in part or all of the bond being retained, see T &Cs.
Disposal of waste- all rubbish must be removed from indoor and outdoor bins by the hirer.

Sorry but there is no public transport in this area.
There is parking space along the driveway and a bitumen area at the end of the driveway. Please do NOT park on the oval.
