Private and Cozy Event, Meet Up & Party Space in the Heart of Hamilton

Here’s an event space you won’t want to to escape from in the centre of Hamilton! Located in the cozy and private cafe space at Escapist, the Waikato’s premier escape room experience. This has to be the funnest place ever to host an event!

Our space is perfect for your next private event - we would suit:
Kids or Adults birthday, Hens & Stags, Meet Up, Meeting or Workshop, Wedding party, Special Interest Group - and tons more.

We are particularly suited to gaming themed events as we have a large collection of board games that can be included as part of your hire package.

The space:
Our whole space can fit up to 100 people, but the private meeting room can fit up to 30 people in theatre set up

It can be set up in the following ways:
Theatre, Classroom, Boardroom, Ushape

The room hire includes:
Tables, Chairs, TV, AC, Private Speaker and Amp
We have plug sockets available in the room, power board and extension cables are also available at no additional charge, upon request
You can play music through your phone (AUX Cable or Bluetooth Connection)

Catering and Alcohol
We have a delicious selection of platters and food options to cater to your guests. This is available at additional cost, starting from $10pp
You can purchase additional food/coffees from our cafe during your event. We make a mean coffee and our brownies are much raved about on google reviews.
We allow external caterers.
We do not have an alcohol licence. You cannot BYO.

The Location
You could not be closer to the action at Escapist Hamilton. We’re minutes away from great cafes, bars and restaurants for your post event after party. We recommend The Dumpling House (50m away), Regal Restaurant (100m away), Fusion 237 or Bahn Mi Caphe (500m away)

Getting here is easy.
Street Parking is free for the first 2 hours or we are located across the road from Centre Place Mall where you can pay for parking
We’re walking distance from the River, Town Centre and Main Transport Station.

Accessibility
The space is fully wheelchair accessible. We have elevator on site and the doors’ clearances are 760mm

Your hosts:
On one sunny day in summer 2018, Pam & Geoff had had enough of the ‘there is nothing to do in Hamilton!’ and decided to do something about it. We cleared out our savings and set to work to built the funnest place in Hamilton, combining our favourite things : escape rooms, board games and food. Now we’re excited to share it with you for your next event.
