About this space


McLaren Vale Institute Hall & Piazza Della Valle is a standout venue, and the ideal event space situated in the heart of McLaren Vale.

It is an ideal location for weddings, large events, markets, and functions.
But as such a versatile space, it is also ideal for children's birthday parties, fitness classes, and meetings.
The venue is heritage-listed and includes four unique hire spaces, or you can hire the whole building.

The larger Main Heritage Hall features immaculate wooden floorboards with a large stage, a small kitchen, and bar server.
This hall also opens out to the Piazza della Valle which features an outdoor stage with granite steps, water feature, and an all-weather pavilion.

The Piazza della Valle can also be hired out on its own for outside events.

This is a totally self-catering venue.
You are welcome to serve alcohol at your event. If you intend to sell alcohol at your event, please make sure you have purchased a license from Onkaparinga Council and provide that license to us before your hire. Please note, that special licenses can take weeks to process and must be provided to us before your hire commences.
The Main Heritage Hall has access to a small kitchen, which has a serving hatch into the hall. You are welcome to use the kitchen for self-catering your event, or with external caterers. Included in the kitchen there is a sink, water boiler, fridge, oven and stovetop, and microwave.
The Supper Room has direct access to a commercial kitchen which has two serving hatches into the room. You are welcome to use the kitchen for self-catering your event, or with external caterers. Included in the commercial kitchen there is a sink, water boiler, fridge, oven and stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher.
You may use external caterers for your event but their details and insurances would need to be provided before your hire commences.

Cleaning equipment is provided. You are expected to leave the space as you found it, and to book enough time to clean up after your event.
All large events include a mandatory cleaning fee for post-event commercial cleaning.

The venue has wheelchair access via the glass atrium between the two halls, and also via the Piazza into the main hall, and there is an accessible toilet. There are 3 accessible car parking spaces. There are also baby changing facilities within the accessible toilet.

Rules

If you set off the fire alarm, there may be a fine if the fire service are called.

No smoking within the hall and its grounds, including the Piazza.

We allow candles, but they must be contained within a suitable glass jar.

No DIY BBQs, but catering ones are fine.

No Sellotape, push-pins, tacks or nails to be used on any of the walls, doors or door frames.

You can use Blutack in the Supper Room .

Please remove any strings or Blutack might have used to fix the decorations before the end ...

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 60 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 80% refund.
