About this space
THE GARAGE is one of the few live music venues in Perth regularly hosting All Ages events. Hire The Garage for EP or single launches, showcase gigs, or just because you can. We specialise in hosting gigs for young bands on the WA music scene.
We are a smoke, alcohol and drug-free venue.
The Garage is the home of Rock Scholars, Perth's premier teaching and learning community for young musicians. Our premises are conveniently located in an awesome warehouse space in Osborne Park just metres from the freeway and ten minutes walk from public transport. We have a cool, groovy space decorated with floor to ceiling wall murals and funky furnishing made from recycled materials.
THE GARAGE is a live performance venue with capacity for an audience of 150, and an outdoor open-air courtyard area which will host a further 30 guests in fine weather. An elevated stage measuring 7m x 5m is backed by heavy black acoustic drapes. We can offer a 16 channel PA system with speakers and subs, and on-stage foldback via 4 wedges. Professional lighting is also available. PA and lighting are included in the venue hire price.
There is a bar including a small kitchen area with sink and fridge serving food or drinks to your guests, and the outdoor area includes a firepit and BBQ.
Venue hire costs include one door person and one bar person, but you will need to provide your own sound engineer (we think this works better for young bands, who usually have a mate that can do this for free, or at least for cheap. We can provide a sound engineer if required, but there will be an additional cost. See 'items for hire' when you book.

THE GARAGE is not a licensed venue.
Alcohol is not to be sold at THE GARAGE under any circumstances.
BUILDING ACCESS
Access to the premises is from one hour before booking commences unless by prior arrangement, and premises must be vacated at the end of the booking period.
We have limited parking on site for up to 6 vehicles, please don't park on our neighbour's premises between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday to Saturday.
There is easy access to load equipment or furniture in and out of the function area space through a large roller door and a backstage space for storage of equipment before and during performance.
BOOKING RULES
Bookings are subject to THE GARAGE terms and conditions available at our website or via email upon request.
Bookings will be confirmed via email upon receipt of the agreed deposit.
Deposit must be paid at least 2 weeks ahead of your event, and payment in full on the day of the event unless by prior agreement.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations by the Hirer must be in writing via email to The Garage.
• If a booking is cancelled at least 28 days before the event, 100% of the Deposit is refunded; or
• If a booking is cancelled at least 14 days before the event, 50% of the Deposit is refunded; or
• If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before the event, the Deposit is forfeited to The Garage; or
• If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before the event, the Deposit and the Rental Payment is forfeited to The Garage.
The Garage may cancel any hire already agreed and will refund any Deposit and Rental Payment to the Hirer in full.

● Load in from 5pm, premises must be vacated by 11pm
● Stage, PA and lights included. THE GARAGE will provide door and bar staff, sound engineer is provided by you.
● Strictly no alcohol
