Our performance and event space is inviting, artistic, comfortable and well equipped for a variety of uses. It is often used by actors, musicians and poets, both for performance and practice. It is also well suited for retreats, workshops and conferences.

If you are a loud band looking to practice - please see the note at the bottom as there are particular times that you can book.

Facilities

• Comfy couches and bench style seating (as shown in the pictures)

• Soft plush carpet - comfortable for yoga or floor work

• Full fairy-light setup & spotlight

• Air-conditioning/heat pump

• Wheelchair access (different entry)

• Access to four individual unisex toilet / bathroom spaces.

• Small attached kitchenette

There is also a large kitchen and hall space suitable for meals or as a additional breakout space. If you want this facility as well, you will need to book it as an additional space. See 'Cityside Community Space and Kitchen.')

Additional items included as part of the hire price are:

• Microphones and PA system

• Large TV monitor 85"

The venue can comfortably seat 100 people on the couches and chairs which are permanently set up in the space. Seating can be rearranged if required but we ask for the room to be returned to the default set up at the end of your booking.

Events which have a higher number of attendees or require additional administrative support may incur an additional charge. E.g. using the space as a film location, a gig, a wedding

To make this space more accessible, we charge rent on a sliding scale basis. Please copy and paste the code that applies to your group to get the correct price.

Cityside seeks to make community activity possible. If you need space and the cost is still out of reach for you. Please send us a message about your activity and we may be able to offer you an additional subsidy.

Cityside can also offer generous day rates for community groups and not-for-profits. Please message us to discuss your needs.

Special note for musicians who like to practice at loud volume:

We love having musicians use our space! However, this can only happen at limited times.

• Friday evenings, between 5pm and 9pm

• Saturday between 9am and 9pm

Please do not try and book at other times during the week, even it shows the space is available, because there are other activities going on in the building that would be impacted by noise.

You will need to bring all your own music equipment, including drums, microphones, leads. A PA is available to plug into.
