Progress Castlecliff is a broad, membership based incorporated society and a registered charity with thirty years of working for better for Castlecliff. Progress Castlecliff manages the Duncan Pavilion for Whanganui Council to ensure it remains as an iconic public building in Te Kauhau-o-Kupe / Castlecliff.

Its a dodecagon (12 sided shape) - how cool is that?!

Sitting in isolation facing the West Coast sea in Te Kaihau-o-Kupe / Castlecliff this unique and iconic building is managed by Progress Castlecliff under contract to Whanganui Council.

Internally it features approx 120m2 total space featuring a small entrance hall, disability toilet, modern galley kitchen and the main 90m2 room with windows on 6 sides and french doors opening onto a 30m2 verrandah deck wrapping around the 4 ocean facing sides. It includes 10 tables (180x75cm) and 65 white moulded chairs and good free wi-fi. Chargable extras are crockery & cutlery (not glasses) approx 30 people. Externally it has a wheelchair access ramp, abundant free parking and underneath public M+F public toilets & changing rooms with showers (open dawn to dusk Nov-March)

basic hall crockery, cutlery for approx 30 and some kitchen. Not new or all matching etc but easier/cheaper than hiring. No glasses or tablecloths sorry. Hirer is responsible for cleaning and return as is

The Duncan Pavilion has a monthly professional full clean. Between bookings we rely on hirers to clean with inspections and extra clean if really necessary from our volunteers every few days. If you want to come into a freshly cleaned building (eg yoga classes needing spotless floors) and/or have someone else sweep and mop a before clean where you still sweep and mop after OR an after clean (especially good for evening bookings - no late night after party mopping). Tell us if you want the clean before or after in a message.If you want the cleaner before and after your event choose 2 in quantity. Note if the cleaner has to deal with rubbish, taking down decorations etc they will charge extra and we'll pass those charges on vis spaceprotect). Cleaning is subject to availability of both the cleaner and the pavilion (if your booking is immediately before or after another booking it won't be possible)
