SpacetoCo Host since June 2024Progress Castlecliff is a broad, membership based incorporated society and a registered charity with thirty years of working for better for Castlecliff. Progress Castlecliff manages the Duncan Pavilion for Whanganui Council to ensure it remains as an iconic public building in Te Kauhau-o-Kupe / Castlecliff.
About this space
Its a dodecagon (12 sided shape) - how cool is that?!
Sitting in isolation facing the West Coast sea in Te Kaihau-o-Kupe / Castlecliff this unique and iconic building is managed by Progress Castlecliff.
Internally it features approx 120m2 total space featuring a small entrance hall, disability toilet, modern galley kitchen and the main 90m2 room with windows on 6 sides and french doors opening onto a 30m2 verandah deck wrapping around the 4 ocean facing sides. It includes 10 tables (180x75cm) and 65 white moulded chairs and good free wi-fi. Chargable extras are crockery & cutlery (not glasses) approx 30 people. Externally it has a wheelchair access ramp, abundant free parking and underneath public M+F public toilets & changing rooms with cold showers.

Rules
No plastic glitter or sparkles (they get out and into the sand). No sticky tape, pins etc. Use bluetac or damage free removable hooks if needed and remove when finished. Remove your rubbish and clean (small meetings in summer can get away with sweeping, if it's wet you'll almost certainly need to mop. If you don't wish to clean booking a clean ahead by adding it to your booking is advised.
While we do allow a 30 min buffer between bookings and generally set access codes to be valid for 15min before and after your booking this just to ensure bookings don't clash - you should plan on completing all setup pack down must be done within your booked times.
The venue is not available between midnight and 6am - this is monitored by Alarm Watch.
The dish sterilizer is NOT a home dishwasher. If using it plates and utensils MUST be rinsed!
