Set up and Set down fees must apply if your event requires seating by the Birregurra Hall. Please include in your hire fees.
Birregurra Hall is an ideal venue for community and private functions including meetings, weddings, celebrations, fundraisers, live music, theatre, workshops, fitness classes and memorials.
Recently the Hall has undergone some much needed renovation, landscaping and technical improvement as part of the Regional Arts Victoria Small Town Transformation project and the Australian Federal Government's Building Better Regions program.
The Hall is managed by a Colac Otway Shire appointed Committee of Management and is available for hire. All enquiries welcome.
Included in the Space Hire: Wifi. 9 x 8 person trestle tables. 170 chairs on trolleys. Some basic equipment is available for use - Small amount of miscellaneous crockery, cutlery, glasses and coffee mugs, plastic platters. Small number of baking trays and pans. Brooms and dust pans, Dyson vacuum. Air conditioning units in the hall and Seniors.

Package A – Basic Audio/Lighting
Hire of Hall rate includes the use of single wireless microphones, front of house lighting only, internet access, main stage and plug in access into audio system. Excludes use of dressing room.
Package B – Full Audio/Lighting
Includes use of 10 microphones, main projector and screen, all front of house and stage lighting and curtains, internet access and full access into audio system. Includes full use of dressing room.
Package C – Temporary Stage Package
Includes 16 sq metre 400mm high temporary stage, with backdrop curtains and frame to suit. User responsible for setup and take down. $50 charge for assistance in setting up and take down (local only)
Package D – Temporary Stage Package + Portable Audio Package
The Birregurra Hall has a range of portable equipment available for hire, including speakers and projector for use in the yards area. For details of portable equipment available refer attached page.

Rules
You are welcome to decorate the hall space however you cannot use pins or tape but Blu tac is OK. All decorations must be removed on departure. No confetti, rice or party poppers to be used inside in the hall or the outside space. You can use an external event hire company to bring your own furniture, tablecloths etc.
Please book the time you need in the hall space to set up, pack down and clean as the hall may be used soon after your event.
The facility has a No Smoking and Vaping rule. No naked flames including candles can be used (only battery operated candles). NO GLASS to be used when running a paid bar (cans and plastic cups only - preferably biocups). The Hirer must ensure that no alcohol is consumed by persons under 18 years of age. Streamers and banners can be used and we recommend using blutac. All decorations must be removed at the end of the event. No fixtures to be removed from walls. No screws, nails, staples to be used on walls. All spills to be mopped with clean warm water only (no soap). Mops/broom available in the ladies toilet storage cupboard.
The committee reserve the right to levy a charge for damages or for extra cleaning after the event. Any electrical equipment brought into the premises must be tagged and tested. All equipment is at the owner's risk. No BBQ facilities on site. Jumping castles and animal farms are not permitted with the Centre.
Additional details
The front foyer has wheelchair access and if required a vehicle can drive up to the front entrance. There is an accessible toilet via the foyer. There is a disabled parking spot at the front of the hall.
There is plenty of free street parking around the hall. The Birregurra Railway Station is approximate a 4 minute drive or 15 minute walk.
