Welcome to the Shire of Mundaring's community facilities. From community halls to sporting pavilions, ovals, recreation centres, parks, sports courts, and market spaces, we've got it covered. All of these are provided by the Shire to create a vibrant community filled with physical, social, educational, and cultural opportunities and support a strong sense of belonging, civic pride, and engagement.

Situated adjacent to Chidlow Oval, this pavilion enjoys a prime location at the heart of the town, making it a hub for local sports and community gatherings.

The pavilion, completed in 1995, offers multipurpose function spaces that are suitable for a variety of events, including community meetings, social gatherings, birthday parties, and weddings. These spaces can be adapted to accommodate different group sizes and event types.

The pavilion offers picturesque views of the surrounding natural beauty, allowing event attendees to enjoy the serene ambiance of Chidlow.

Whether you're a sports enthusiast, a community organiser, or someone looking for a charming and scenic venue to host an event, the Chidlow Oval Pavilion offers a warm and welcoming space that combines the love of sports with the beauty of its natural surroundings. It's a place where the community comes together to celebrate, compete, and connect.

Many user groups enjoy the facility all year round and is one of two Shire venues that allow functions including all birthday parties from 16 to 21 years of age.

Important Information

The venue can only be accessed within the times booked. Your booking time must include all set up and pack up which includes all deliveries and collections.

Any bookings finishing at midnight are allowed one hour for pack-up and cleaning free of charge until 1:00 am. All music needs to be turned off at midnight.

The Hirer is responsible for opening and securing the building.

High-Risk Event Information

This venue is available to be hired for high-risk events (including 16th, 18th, and 21st birthday parties).

For high-risk events with alcohol, an alcohol permit must be completed and lodged at the time of booking. A $1000.00 SpaceProtect bond may be applied, along with other protective measures such as professional security services.

Decorations

You are welcome to decorate the pavilion for your event. Please note pins, tape, or anything that would damage the pavilion walls is not permitted. Blu Tack is OK and has to be completely removed at the end of the booking.

You are responsible for leaving the facility as you found it, so all decorations must be removed.

Please no oil-based smoke machines inside or confetti, rice, or party poppers outside.

  • The Hirer does not have the right to hire the Premises to a third party.

  • The venue must be left in a clean and tidy state.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.

Parking is at the front and side of the venue in the unmarked gravel area.
