Darlington Hall

Darlington Hall, located in the charming town of Darlington, is a historic and iconic community gathering place that exudes old-world charm and timeless elegance.

It is a cherished landmark with a rich history dating back to 1890. Its architecture and design pay homage to the heritage of the region, making it a unique and culturally significant venue.

The Hall comprises two main sections, the old original stone cellar of the former Darlington Vineyard, on the south-east side now performing a 'lesser hall' type role, and the main hall which is a brick addition built in the 1960's.

Important Information

The venue can only be accessed within the times booked. Your booking time must include all set up and pack up which includes all deliveries and collections.

Any bookings finishing at midnight are allowed one hour for pack-up and cleaning free of charge until 1:00am. All music needs to be turned off at midnight.

The Hirer is responsible for opening and securing the building.

Use of Kitchen

The kitchen may only be used for reheating food and no cooking is allowed on site.

600mm electric oven with four electric cooktops, microwave oven, free standing 20-litre hot water urn, double sink, fridge/freezer

Servery - There is a servery into the Lesser Hall from the kitchen

Cooling/Heating - Fans in both the Main and Lesser Halls. There is no heating in this facility.

Lighting -

Accessibility - The venue has three accessible parking bays at the rear of the venue and a ramp to both the Main and Lesser Halls.

There is also an automatic wheelchair lift from the Main Hall to the stage.

Toilets - Internal toilets include a male and female toilet and a unisex-accessible toilet. Male and female and accessible public toilets are located outside.

Accessible Toilet - One UAT outside and one UAT inside

Decorations

You are welcome to decorate the pavilion for your event. Please note pins, tape, or anything that would damage the pavilion walls is not permitted. Blu Tack is OK and has to be completely removed at the end of the booking.

You are responsible for leaving the facility as you found it, so all decorations must be removed.

Please no oil-based smoke machines inside or confetti, rice, or party poppers outside.
