Welcome to the Shire of Mundaring's community facilities. From community halls to sporting pavilions, ovals, recreation centres, parks, sports courts, and market spaces, we've got it covered. All of these are provided by the Shire to create a vibrant community filled with physical, social, educational, and cultural opportunities and support a strong sense of belonging, civic pride, and engagement.

About this space

Boya Community Centre is a modern, welcoming, and versatile facility that serves as the heart of the local community. Nestled amidst the picturesque foothills this is a popular venue for meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops and offers flexible spaces that can be configured to suit any function.

The main hall can be split into two smaller halls for more intimate gatherings. Function Hall 1 has its own PA system and Function Hall 2 has access to the kitchenette and servery.

Important Information

The venue can only be accessed within the times booked. Your booking time must include all set up and pack up which includes all deliveries and collections.

Any bookings finishing at midnight are allowed one hour for pack-up and cleaning free of charge until 1:00am. All music needs to be turned off at midnight.

The Hirer is responsible for opening and securing the building.

High-Risk Event Information

This venue is not available to be hired for high-risk events (including 16th, 18th, and 21st birthday parties).

The kitchenette may only be used for reheating food and no cooking is allowed on site.

600mm electric oven, four electric cooktops, two microwave ovens, continuous hot water system, free-standing hot water urn, double sink, separate hand wash facilities, serving trolley, and two domestic fridge/freezers.

Servery - Servery open to hall and veranda

Stage - Two x 1.5m x 3m moveable staging pieces with steps

Accessibility - The venue is fully accessible with accessible parking, toilets and an accessible kitchen

Toilets - One UAT with a baby change table, one male and one female public toilet

Decorations

You are welcome to decorate the pavilion for your event. Please note pins, tape, or anything that would damage the pavilion walls is not permitted. Blu Tack is OK and has to be completely removed at the end of the booking.

You are responsible for leaving the facility as you found it, so all decorations must be removed.

Please no oil-based smoke machines inside or confetti, rice, or party poppers outside.

Audio Visual Equipment - PA system, handheld and lapel wireless microphones, microphone stand, large projector, and screen. PLEASE NOTE: You must supply your own HDMI cable if using the projector.

Cleaning Equipment - Broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket and vacuum cleaner

Wi-Fi - Free Wi-Fi is available for use at the venue seven days a week from 9:00am to 10:00pm

  • The Hirer is responsible for opening and securing the building.

  • The Hirer does not have the right to hire the Premises to a third party.

  • The venue must be left in a clean and tidy state.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.
