Befriend Sewing & craft group every Tuesday at John Wellard Community Centre with thanks to the City of Kwinana for providing a comfortable, safe and easily accessible room with tables, chairs, air conditioning/heater and kitchenette use for community. The hovea room is downstairs and only a few steps from disabled parking, bathrooms inside (next to kitchenette) and everything required in storage in the room (chairs, tables) for attendees. Thank you 🙏

Clean and tidy facilities, safe with locked doors. Easy and friendly communication with City of Kwinana. Very thorough introductory session to show me around which was great. Recommend this space!

Para and Ability Dance WA

We use the Hovea Room for a private dance lesson for a blind dancer. The room is always clean and tidy. The John Wellard Community Centre has tactile floor markers and handrails on the stairs, which makes the facility suitable for the blind and vision-impaired.
