Walyalup Civic Centre

The Walyalup Civic Centre was designed by internationally renowned Fremantle firm Kerry Hill Architects, the architects behind the incredible State Theatre Centre of WA and Perth Library and is a Fremantle landmark everyone can be proud of.

The Walyalup Civic Centre has been built for the whole community to use and enjoy and boasts a modern library, state-of-the-art information and customer service centre, a wide range of meeting rooms for public use, fully accessible toilets and change facilities and exhibition spaces.

The community facility was carefully crafted to provide better integration with the historic Fremantle Town Hall, which will create more opportunities for people to enjoy the beloved building and boasts a range of sustainability features, including a sophisticated automated opening facade system designed to capture Fremantle’s famous sea breezes.

A revamped city square comprising landscaped grass area, shady trees, public areas and new street furniture complete the Walyalup Civic Centre.

The Walyalup Civic Centre employs universal design principles, making it accessible for people with diverse abilities. There are ample public transport and parking options nearby.

Level 1 of the Walyalup Civic Centre boats spaces suitable for functions and events including conferences and exhibitions, as well as meetings and presentations. These spaces are available for community and corporate use and can accommodate up to 300 people.
