About this space
The Tokanui Memorial Hall is the largest hall in the Waihopai Toetoe area. It is in the township of Tokanui and is situated at 42 Tokanui-Haldane Road, Tokanui.
The main hall is 12m x 20m in size. The bar section is an additional 3m x 10m to the side and supper room 3m x 6m.
It is a great venue for large gatherings including wedding dances, tangi, birthday parties, large and small meetings and sports events eg bowls, yoga etc. A generous stage and separate changing rooms beside the stage make it an excellent venue for shows, concerts, bands to perform and presentations. A lighting bar provides options for stage lighting. A large separate bar area is available. A kitchen and adjoining supper room make this venue suitable for smaller gatherings and meetings as well.
The hall has wheelchair access with a large concrete ramp up to the main doors for vehicles. There is also a wheelchair toilet. A key is available for users to collect when access is required.
The windows and doors exit on the north side provide plenty of light and warmth from the sun and access to a large concrete deck which runs the length of the hall.
