About this space
Ivon Wilson Park in Te Anau is an open 35-hectare park which is open to the public at all times. It is located approximately 4km from the Te Anau town centre and 1km from Lake Te Anau.
It is in a sheltered position with plantings of both introduced and native trees and great views of Fiordland National Park and Lake Te Anau.
There are marked trails and in its centre is Lake Henry, which is stocked with rainbow and brown trout as a children's fishery.
This park is well used by the public for picnics, dog walking, mountain biking and there is also a popular 18-hole disc golf course. There are public toilets onsite adjacent to the car parking area.
Walking tracks are gravel or grass. It is accessible for wheelchairs.
The space is all open-air and in a sheltered position out of the prevailing winds.
Space within the park can be booked for weddings, gatherings (birthday parties etc) and markets or fairs, along with tournaments for disc golf, or fitness events such as bike or running races.

§ When hiring the park, use of the public toilets would be included and you can specify what areas you will be using when you apply for hire
§ Subject to availability and any other events booked. The park is always open to the general public
§ There is a tap available for use adjacent to the public toilets. No other facilities are available. The park is open-air with no permanent shelter structures
§ Hirers of the park are welcome to decorate the park
§ All rubbish and decorations are to be removed after your event/booking.

Free parking. The parking area can accommodate approximately 30 vehicles. Two wheelchair-accessible parks are available.
