Bruce Douglas Pavilion & Changerooms

Bruce Douglas Pavilion is situated on the sporting oval at the Brown Park Recreation Complex and has a large multipurpose room for hire and a fully equipped kitchenette.

Many user groups enjoy the facility all year round and is one of two Shire venues that allow high-risk events such as birthday parties from 16 to 21 years of age.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Hire of the Pavilion does not include the Oval. Please book the oval separately.

Seasonal sporting clubs operate regularly at this Oval and adjoining Pavilion, and, as a result, casual hire may be limited. Requests which conflict with seasonal sporting codes may be declined. Please see the Booking Schedule for available times.

• Decorations - You are welcome to decorate the pavilion for your event. Please note pins, tape, Blu Tack or anything that would damage the pavilion walls is not permitted. No oil-based smoke machines inside; or confetti, rice, or party poppers outside. You are responsible for leaving the facility as you found it, all decorations must be removed.

• Kitchenette / Kiosk Facilities - The kitchenette may only be used for reheating food and no cooking is allowed on site. 900mm electric oven and four gas hotplates, fridge/freezer, microwave, automatic hot water wall urn, double sink, separate hand washing basin, three double power points, fire blanket, linoleum floor, servery access out to veranda/oval and to main pavilion. Please Note: Hirers must supply own crockery, cutlery and glassware.

• Stage Lighting - 2 wooden stage blocks. No specialised lighting.

• Toilets - Public toilets: 2 x female toilet, 1 x male + 1 urinal. Accessible externally and from inside the function room. Changerooms and umpires room have one toilet per changeroom.
