The Lilly Pilly Room
About this space
Murwillumbah Community Centre is a welcoming and inclusive hub supporting local people, services, and programs. Our goal is to provide accessible and affordable spaces for not-for-profits, community groups, and government services to meet, collaborate, and deliver activities that benefit the community. The Lilly Pilly Room is one of our most versatile rooms. It’s perfect for smaller workshops, group programs, counselling sessions, planning meetings, training, and interviews. We do not hire to private businesses or commercial operators. Need a bigger space? The Lilly Pilly Room can be hired together with the adjoining Waratah Room to create one large room with double the capacity and more layout options.
The Lilly Pilly Room is a quiet, comfortable room located within the main community centre building on Nullum Street. The space is carpeted and fully enclosed, with large windows allowing in natural light. It’s located close to reception and has access directly from room to the shared kitchen.
The room has a calm, neutral look and feel, making it ideal for group sessions, training, or one-on-one appointments. The lighting is a mix of natural and overhead lighting, and the room stays comfortable all year round with a ceiling fan and heater. While the centre can be busy, Meeting Room 1 is fully private and works well for groups needing focus or confidentiality.
Included in the room hire is:
Wifi
Tables and chairs
Moveable whiteboard with markers
Ceiling fan and heater
Access to shared kitchen with tea/coffee facilities
Use of foyer/waiting area for guests
