About this space

Built in 1897, Victoria Hall is a heritage-listed venue located in the heart of Fremantle. With its blend of historic charm and modern versatility, it's well-suited to a wide range of events.

The venue includes a large hall, outside courtyard, bar area and two front rooms. Access to the front rooms is subject to availability and can be requested by selecting at check out.

With a focus on, community, culture and arts the Hall is perfect for events such as development showings, independent artist shows and community- focused programming.

Rates:
Community hourly rate: $30 p/hour
Commercial hourly rate: $88.00 p/hour
Community Day Rate: $240.00 8hrs+
Commercial Day Rate: $704.00 8hrs+

Venue inductions are mandatory for all first-time medium to high-risk bookings and incur a $73 fee. The Booking Officer will reach out to arrange a time once the booking has been approved. One hour minimum booking time applies. Discounts are available for long term bookings, 7 days or more. Please email [email protected] to enquiry.

A bond may be required for medium to high-risk Victoria Hall bookings. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions to determine whether your booking will require bond payment and the bond amount.

Arts and cultural bookings will be prioritised at Victoria Hall. Private and other bookings will be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure the venue remains primarily available for arts, cultural and community use. For all wedding enquires please ensure you select the Victoria Hall wedding listing.

Vic Hall is a dry hire venue. Hirers will need to outsource their own furniture, crockery, glassware and AV equipment. The following amenities are available to hirers:

  • Wooden floor hall. NOTE: The upper balcony is currently not accessible for guests.

  • Bar area featuring 7 small bar fridges and small commercial dishwasher

  • Outside toilet facilities including accessible toilet

  • Stage featuring basic lighting

  • Separate front office spaces (subject to availability)

  • 10 x trestle tables NOTE: there are no other chairs or additional furniture. All must be outsourced.

Rules

  • The hirer must complete a venue induction prior to receiving access.

  • No amplified noise allowed outside 7am–10pm (Mon–Sat) or 9am–10pm (Sun & public holidays).

  • No equipment can be left in the venue after the booking.

  • Rubbish is removed and the venue is left in a clean and tidy state. If excess cleaning is required, the cost will be taken from the bond.

  • Depending on the scale of the event, external security will be requested at an external cost to the hirer.

  • Should alcohol be sold, approval from the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor is required. A copy must be provided prior to the event.

  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to set up and pack down. Tables and chairs are not dragged across the floor. Allow time for bump in and bump out when setting your booking times. Early access or late collection will incur a fee.

  • Tape is not tied, attached or stuck to floors and walls.

  • Confetti, paint, balloons, smoke/haze, bubble or confetti machines and/or naked flames are prohibited in the venue.

  • The hire fee includes a fee for basic cleaning only. All additional cleaning costs (where required) will be deducted from the hirer’s bond as stated above.

  • The hirer is liable for all damages.

  • All lights must be turned off and doors locked before departing.

  • Keys must be collected from the Walyalup Civic Centre reception between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday the week of the event.

  • You have read and understand all the terms and conditions.

  • Public Liability Insurance must be provided to the City by clubs, associations, schools, corporations, incorporated bodies, and/or commercial entities. Hirers making more than 12 bookings per calendar year are also required to provide a valid certificate.

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 7 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
Parking and Public Transport Information
  • There is a loading bay located at the back of the building for one vehicle

  • There is no guest parking.

  • Paid street parking is available along High Street.

  • The closest all-day parking is Parry Street carpark (150m away)

  • For standard vehicles all day street parking, permits are available online. Fee apply: $39 p day/p bay for non-specific bay or $88.00 for specific reserved bay permit.
