The Creative Rume – Studio Hire Rules & Conditions

This studio is our baby and one of a kind - Please take care of her like it's your home.

• All doors must be secured when leaving the building.

• All lights, heaters, and electrical equipment must be switched off before leaving.

• No equipment or items belonging to the venue are to be removed from the premises.

• Extra chairs and tables may be available – speak to staff or contact via email if you require additional equipment (extra hire fees may apply to some equipment, e.g., tea/coffee supplies).

• The hirer is responsible for setting up the room and arranging furniture as required for their activity.

• Any furniture or layout changes must be returned to the original configuration at the completion of the hire.

• The room must be left in the same or better condition than it was found (floor swept and mopped if necessary, chairs and tables returned, toilets clean and tidy, dishes stacked, decorative materials removed from walls, etc.).

• All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided.

• Any excessive or oversized rubbish must be removed from the venue by the hirer.

• Failure to leave the area clean and tidy will result in cleaning charges of $40 per hour.

• Smoking or vaping is strictly not permitted inside the building or at The Creative Rume Studio at any time.

• All reasonable precautions must be taken to prevent damage to the building, furniture, and equipment.

• All equipment, including electrical appliances, is used at the hirer’s own risk.

• The Creative Rume accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any property belonging to the hirer or guests, or for any injury resulting from the hire.

• The Creative Rume does not provide insurance cover for the hirer’s property, including any items left on-site or in storage areas.

• The provision of first aid supplies is the responsibility of the hirer.

• Any damage caused to the venue or equipment during hire will be the responsibility of the hirer to repair or replace.

• In all cases, The Creative Rume will engage its own contractors to carry out repairs or replacements and on-charge the costs to the hirer.

• Food and drink: Food and drink are permitted by prior agreement. The hirer must ensure that any spills are cleaned promptly and that no food waste is left behind.

• Noise: Please keep noise at a reasonable level, particularly if workshops run in the evening or outside standard business hours.

• Children & supervision: If the hire involves children, the hirer is responsible for their supervision and safety at all times.

• Decorations: Only removable adhesive materials (e.g., Blu Tack) may be used. No nails, screws, or tapes that damage walls or paint.

• Use of paint or art materials: All paints, glues, or messy materials must be used with protective coverings on tables and floors.

• Emergency exits: Emergency exits must remain clear and unobstructed at all times.

• Booking times: All setup and pack-down must be completed within the booked hire time. Additional time may incur extra charges.

• Cancellations: Cancellations made within a specified time frame (e.g., 48 hours) may still incur a partial fee.

• Respect for other users: Please be considerate of other studio users, neighboring rooms, and shared facilities.
