About this space

The Rotunda area is a great space to hire for an event or gathering. It is an amazing location for a musical performance, carols or theatrical performance. With the Rotunda Area nestled beside the Meander River and with plenty of greenspace, the area is also a great place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the Meander River and try to spot a platypus.

The Deloraine War Memorial Column is also within the area and is utilised for ANZAC services annually.

The river reserve features a series of sculptures with more located on the Deloraine main street created by local artists. The Kooparoona Niara Cultural Trail also is park of the reserve, so you will learn about the rich local indigenous culture as you follow the trail.

Parks & Reserves are free to hire for social gatherings. A $29.00 administration fee is required for bookings where users require additional rubbish bins, access to power and/ or water or road closures. This administration fee is not charged for not-for-profit organisations.

MVC Community Public Liability Cover

$20.00 per booking

Council requires all hirers of Council facilities to have Public Liability Insurance cover. In the event that a Casual Hirer does not have their own insurance, cover can be arranged under Council's Blanket Insurance policy.

Parks & Reserves Administration Fee

$29.00 per booking

Required for bookings where users require additional rubbish bins, access to power and/or water or road closures.

No consumption of alcohol in a public space.
Deep water, submerged obstacles, submerged objects, strong currents, and no diving. Swim at own risk. Dogs allowed. No dogs allowed within 10 metres of playground structures. Penalties apply.
