Public Liability Insurance
$15.00 per booking
All venue hires require Public Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $20,000,000. Insurance can be purchased for private and community hire in the next step. Organisations and businesses will be required to provide a copy of their current Public Liability Insurance certificate prior to the booking date.
Function Surcharge - Community Rooms
$4.00 per hour

Rules

Conduct:

  • All attendees must follow the Community Facilities Conditions of Hire (please refer to this at the end of your application)

  • Be considerate of others by keeping noise to a minimum

Access

  • Rooms must only be used between approved hire times

  • Any space not booked is restricted during your hire including common areas

  • All bookings must include time for set up, pack up and cleaning

Safety & Capacity:

  • Follow Council emergency and evacuation procedures

  • Children under 18 must remain in the room and be supervised

  • Do not exceed the room’s maximum seated or standing capacity

Alcohol

  • No alcohol permitted

Insurance

  • Public liability insurance (PLI) of $20 million is required for all venue hires. Any third-party contractors you engage, such as caterers, entertainers, equipment suppliers, or other service providers involved in your event, must also provide PLI of $20 million

Additional details

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 21 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
