Category 1 users - Not for profit - Incorporated or unincorporated associations, interest groups, small social events. Groups which do not generate a profit from the intended hire and provide a community benefit from the activity.

Category 2 users - Large social and community events or commercial with community benefit where the hirer that is or isn't charging for an activity and where there is a community benefit such as a health benefit.

Category 3 users - Commercial - Full commercial where admission fee is being charged to the public. Any hirer that is intending to solely generate a commercial profit from the activity.

Rules

The Hall will not be hired unless suitable adult supervision is present at all times during the hired period. The hirer is responsible for the hire and is accountable for any person’s actions/damage during the hire period. Control and supervision is mandatory and needs to be planned and organised by the hirer. The hirer must disclose what planned supervision has been organised to mitigate risks. If the hirer cannot provide information, hire of the facility can be refused or requested to register your function with Queensland Police Service – Party Safe Program.

Hirers are charged from when they first enter the hall until they leave, this includes set up and dismantle of events as the hall cannot be used by another hirer during this time.

General and Recycling bins are provided.

If your event will have the sale of alcohol, a current permit for sale of alcohol must be provided along with the appropriate applicable certificate of insurance for the event. Failure to provide these documents may result in your event being cancelled.

No signs, notices, advertisement or decorations of any kind shall be erected on the building or affixed to the walls, doors or any other portion of the building without prior consent.

Camping is prohibited at the hall and any vacant land, adjacent to the facility.

Hirers are required to lock and secure all doors & windows prior to vacating the hall.

The following is not permitted:

  • Tap dancing on the main floor

  • No animals

  • No smoking, vaping, flammable material or naked flame within the facility

  • No helium balloons

  • No confetti or throwing of rice

CLEANLINESS:

The hirer is responsible for leaving the premises clean/tidy on vacating the facility by the time detailed on the application for hire, as another hirer may commence following your hire. It is not permitted to return to clean or pick up items unless the following day has been fully or paritally booked. The main floor area and stage must be swept but not mopped. If the floor is to be washed, please use warm water.

Cleaning of the toilets, dressing rooms, bar, kitchen e.g. sink/benches, stoves/ovens, fridges, etc must be swept and mopped. If you have not used the kitchen, you must check the area to ensure your guests have not entered and used the kitchen. Mops, buckets and brooms are available within the hall.

All rubbish is to be removed from within the facility and placed in the external wheelie bins supplied (including waste bins in toilets and ensure all cisterns flushed). Do not place bags of rubbish on the ground outside adjacent to the bins or contaminate bins (i.e. general waste put in the recycling bins). If upon event inspection it's found this has occurred, a rubbish removal fee may be deducted from your bond.

The hirer is responsible for leaving the premises and external areas clean/tidy, including gardens, lawn, car park etc in the same condition as prior to the hire. Failure to do so may result in a cleaning fee being deducted from your bond.

Use of furniture: Items removed from storage MUST be returned clean and neatly restacked (over-stacking chairs is not permitted). Where available, trolleys must be used to move furniture. They must be carried and NOT dragged across the wooden floor.

Decorations are welcome, and designated hanging hooks are provided. Please do not install additional hooks or relocate the existing ones.

Keys/access card must be returned the following business day after your event. Keys/access card is the responsibility of the hirer and if it's lost and unable to be found within a reasonable time, the hirer will be liable to pay the full cost of a replacement. If your bond held in trust does not cover the full cost, you will be required to pay the difference.

The hirer is responsible for the safety of guests attending their hired event/function and should familiarise themselves with the Fire and Evacuation Plan located on site.

100% refund on cancellations up until 14 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.
