About this space

Clyde Public Hall offers a large space that can accommodate up to 250 people standing or 150 people seated at tables, allowing for plethora of possibilities for regular and casual use including but not limited to:

  • Community gatherings, meetings and celebrations

  • Health and wellbeing programs

  • Indoor sport and fitness programs

  • Family & Children’s programs and activities

  • Education and training sessions

The hall boasts beautiful, heritage wooden floors and an elevated stage area suitable for performances or speeches. This facility also offers access to a spacious and modern commercial kitchen at no extra cost, including: large commercial electric stove & oven, stainless steel sink and bench-tops, commercial dishwasher, large urn, fridge, freezer, cutlery, and crockery. Hall hire also includes access to rectangular tables and chairs.

Please note the hall does not have any audio-visual equipment, but hirers are welcome to bring their own.

Public Liability Insurance
$15.00 per booking
All venue hires require Public Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $20,000,000. Insurance can be purchased for private and community hire in the next step. Organisations and businesses will be required to provide a copy of their current Public Liability Insurance certificate prior to the booking date.
Function Surcharge (Large Room/Hall)
$8.00 per hour
Required for all casual private and community functions.

Rules

Conduct:

  • All attendees must follow the Conditions of Hire.

  • Be considerate of others by keeping noise to a minimum.

Access

  • Rooms must only be used between approved hire times.

  • Any space not booked is restricted during your hire including common areas.

  • All bookings must include time for set up, pack up and cleaning.

Safety & Capacity:

  • Follow Council emergency and evacuation procedures.

  • Children under 18 must remain in the room and be supervised.

  • Do not exceed the room’s maximum seated or standing capacity.

Alcohol

  • Subject to approval and may require security.

Insurance

Public liability insurance (PLI) of $20 million is required for all venue hires. Any third-party contractors you engage, such as caterers, entertainers, equipment suppliers, or other service providers involved in your event, must also provide PLI of $20 million.

Additional details

Host's Cancellation Policy
100% refund on cancellations up until 21 days before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.
