Venue Facilities at CREEC
The Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC) offers modern and versatile venue facilities perfect for workshops, conferences, seminars, and meetings. We have two rooms available for hire, specifically designed for corporate and not-for-profit events. The rooms are not available for social events or religious activities.
The Melaleuca Room
The Melaleuca Room is a spacious venue that accommodates up to 60 people in a theatre-style setup or 45 at tables. This room features:

A wall-mounted TV screen for visual aids
A whiteboard for presentations
Public WiFi for seamless connectivity
The Samphire Room
Ideal for smaller gatherings, the Samphire Room can seat 16 people at tables. Amenities include:

Tea and coffee making facilities may be requested
Please note that our facilities are not available for social functions such as birthday parties, weddings, family gatherings and club wind-ups, or religious activities. Rules
CREEC is not a serviced venue and set up and pack up of rooms and catering requirements must be undertaken by the hirer.
CREEC encourages hirers to use the cups, plates, glasses, cutlery and water jugs in the kitchenette to reduce the use of disposable items.
Use of Blutack, Post-it wall pads, adhesive tape and thumb tacks are not permitted on any walls, windows or any part part of the room.
The hirer must ensure that all items brought into the venue are removed and the space is returned to its original condition (self-pack-up).
The facility cannot be accessed prior to the approved booking time, after the approved booking time or during or prior to the following day for any purpose, including for the purpose of cleaning up after the event or for the removal of equipment or personal items. Additional fees will be incurred if the hirer accesses the facility outside of the approved booking times.
Hirers are required to conduct all activities within the room that has been specifically booked by them.
The hirer is responsible for leaving the room in a clean and tidy condition. This includes cleaning and putting away any crockery used, sweeping the floors, mopping up any spillages, and ensuring that the kitchen and toilets are clean.
Please ensure all lights, air conditioning and minor appliances are turned off before leaving the venue.
All rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided. Excess rubbish must be removed by the hirer.
Smoking is prohibited in any part of the premises and within 4 metres of all entrances to any building on the property.
No confetti, glitter or open flame candles to be used.

Our venue provides convenient parking bays, including accessible options, though availability cannot be guaranteed. The Canning River Eco Education Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring smooth access from car parks to the main entrance and accessible toilets.
