Tom Price Kennel Facility

The Tom Price Kennel Facility is situated at Lot 324 Nameless Valley Road in Tom Price – see the map attached for reference.

FEES

The daily rate for kennelling a dog is $30.00 per day per dog.

Please Note: Booking confirmations are only processed between normal office hours Monday to Friday. Booking confirmations can not be processed on weekends or public holidays as this site is not monitored during these times.

There are ten (10) large kennel spaces which are available for residents and visitors who wish to kennel their dog(s) overnight or for extended periods.

The Shire of Ashburton employs two (2) kennel staff who attend the kennel facility twice daily to feed and exercise the dogs as well as clean and disinfect their kennels ensuring all dogs are fit and healthy with visual checks being recorded twice daily.

All dogs are exercised twice daily in the grassed lawn section of the facility and have access to play equipment such as balls, ropes and frisbees.

Optimum branded dry dog food is supplied, however, if your dog(s) has special dietary needs you are welcome to provide your own dog food.

Bedding is also supplied, including blankets for those colder times, however, you are more than welcome to bring along your dog’s favourite bedding and or toys.

If your dog(s) requires medication to be administered, please inform the pound keeper upon arrival.

Each kennel measures 4700 X 2000 which is large enough to happily kennel two (2) dogs if you'd prefer your pets to be together.

Please note that the kennel fees are set, per dog and not per kennel if you are wanting to kennel your dogs together.

To protect other dogs from disease, only dogs that have current vaccinations will be accepted. To submit a kennel booking, a current C3 vaccination in combination with a kennel cough vaccination or a C4 / C5 vaccination. A current vaccination certificate is required to be uploaded in the message section as a requirement of any kennel booking. Similarly, you will be requested to upload a current registration certificate to complete your booking. The required certificates can be attached in the message section once the booking has been processed.

All bookings will remain incomplete until the required certificates are attached.

Overly aggressive dogs will not be accepted to ensure our staff's safety.

Pick-up and drop-off times are strictly between 8 am and 8:30 am or 4 pm and 4:30 pm daily.

Please ensure you arrive during these hours as the kennel facility is not staffed 24 hours.
