About this space
The Theatre and Function Rooms are located on the basement level of Lopdell House, with access via stairs or our heritage lift. There is also a loading dock for delivering equipment.
The venue features 2 adjoining function areas, with a kitchenette and bar. Plus, an 83-seat auditorium with two changing rooms and a green room. This venue is suitable for both theatrical and musical performances, films, presentations, and social functions.

Not for profit organisations and Auckland Council bookings may be eligible for a discount. Please message us after confirming your booking.
We are a venue only provider
The management and running of your event is the venue hirer’s responsibility, including set up and pack down of the venue. Please include enough time in your booking for this.
Alcohol regulations:
You need an alcohol special licence if you are:
Selling alcohol at an event
Charging an entry fee or collecting donations where alcohol is being supplied for free
Examples include:
Wine tastings
Private functions (birthdays, weddings)
Farmers' markets
Festivals/concerts
Sporting events
Bus trips
Ticketed events
Functions in public venue where public access is not restricted.
When you don't need an alcohol special licence
You do not need a special licence when you are supplying alcohol or guests are bringing their own alcohol to a private event, as long as it is not open to the general public.
This only applies to a private event where a family occasion is celebrated in a hired venue and guests bring their own alcohol or the host supplies it for free.
A licence cannot be issued for BYO events.

Additional details
There is plenty of free parking behind Lopdell Precinct. The entrance is on South Titirangi Road. Please note the carpark has been partially closed due to a slip nearby.
Alternative parking is available on Titirangi Road, as well as on South Titirangi Road, in the parking building opposite Lopdell Precinct and at Titirangi Community Centre.
