Marion Cultural Centre - Domain Theatre

The Domain Theatre is a versatile venue suitable for performances, functions, meetings, concerts, film screenings, and conferences. Its contemporary design provides a unique and intimate audience experience, and the adaptable space accommodates various configurations. The venue features a raised movable stage for theatrical and musical performances, making it suitable for a range of events. Maximum capacity: 280 (including audience, performers and staff).

Dressing Room
The Green Room is accessible on stage level and can be configured into one large dressing room or divided into two smaller dressing rooms. Each with access to makeup mirrors and basins. The space is also equipped with a whiteboard and a TV is mounted to the wall at one end of the room. Video Feed from stage to TV is available upon request. There is a single unisex toilet and shower in the next room. Large dressing room: Max capacity 22 people. 2 x small dressing rooms: Max capacity 12 Note: the green room is included in the cost of booking the theatre.

Seating The Domain Theatre has flexible seating options to accommodate the needs of the event. The tiered seating bank has 155 seats, consisting of rows of 18 accessed via a central aisle. The first four rows (36 seats) can be retracted to allow for more floor space. There are an additional 130 freestanding chairs, which can be utilised in various room configurations.

Recommended room seating setup capacities:
Seminar/Author Talk (with stage) - 255 (155 fixed seating & 80 additional seats)
Performance (with stage) - 235 (155 fixed seating & 60 additional seats)
Dance/Film screening (no stage) - 175 (155 fixed seating & 20 additional seats)
Cabaret (with or without stage) - 175 (tiered seating 84 & 12 x tables 6 to 8 seats)
Workshop (no stage) - 90

Stage
The Domain Theatre has a Sprung Dance Floor. The stage area has a width of 10.75 metres and an optimal depth of 6 metres. Greater depths are possible however this may involve line of sight issues depending on configuration. Please speak to Domain Theatre Technician if a greater depth is required. There is also a temporary raised stage available upon request. This stage is made of up to 33 Pro-Stage units with a grey carpet surface and can be built in various configurations. The maximum stage size is 10.75 metres wide by 6 metres deep with a standard height of 600mm (0.6 metres).
