Once home to the Mackay City Library, this beautifully repurposed facility now features four versatile meeting rooms equipped with projectors and sound systems. Whether you're a community group, club, business, or individual, there's a space here for you.

Not for Profit – Any Incorporated Association, that does not generate a profit from the intended hire and provides a community benefit from the activity. Discounts may apply
Community - Unincorporated community interest, support group or social gathering. Groups that do not generate a profit from the intended hire and provide a social or community benefit from the activity. Discounts may apply.
Commercial – Any organisation or Business where an admission fee is being charged to the public. Any hirer that is intending to solely generate a commercial profit from the activity regardless of the benefit for community.
Government – Any government entity where there is a benefit to the community from the intended hire.
Standard Hire – This category applies to all casual hirers who do not qualify for Not for Profit, Community, Commercial, or Government rates. It includes private individuals or groups hiring for personal events or activities that do not fit into the specified categories.

Rules
The Jubilee Community Centre is available for small community meetings and training sessions. It is not suitable for church groups, dance groups, vocal groups, or activities that generate noise and could impact other users
Fees are not eligible for in-kind assistance and must be paid as per the Council’s standard fees and charges
Access cards for after-hours bookings must be collected during business hours on the day of hire and returned to a secure box at the end of the hire period. Access cards cannot be copied or passed to other users
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the booking date. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows may impact future bookings
Casual hirers may be covered under MRC’s Casual Hirers Liability cover, but commercial businesses, incorporated bodies, and associations must have their own public liability insurance for a sum of not less than twenty (20) million dollars
The hirer agrees to indemnify MRC and its agents against all actions, costs, charges, expenses, and damages arising out of the hiring engagement
Hirers must read and abide by the Emergency Evacuation Plan, ensure fire exits are unimpeded, and be aware of the location of fire safety equipment. They must also inform guests of evacuation procedures
The hirer is responsible for leaving the premises clean and tidy, including returning furniture to its original position and removing all rubbish. Any additional cleaning costs incurred by MRC will be charged to the hirer
The centre cannot be used for illegal or immoral purposes. Smoking is prohibited within the venue and its surrounds, and the use of flammable materials or naked flames is not allowed
