About this space
The Pamphlett-Tennyson Sea Scout hall/land ship in the Simpsons Park, Graceville, is available for hire for many kinds of occasions including kids parties, club gatherings, meetings and so on.
The den has a functional galley kitchen, airconditioning, and facilities such as seating and tables. The proceeds from the hall hire help us pay and maintain the scouting facilities, boats, canoes, equipment etc which are available to the members of the Pamphlett-Tennyson Sea Scout Group.
The Hall is available to groups, organisations and individuals for activities that the Scout Association considers are compatible with the principles of the Association and which benefit the community generally. The following are examples of the kind of groups which may be interested in using the hall:- fitness groups, dancing classes, community interest groups, weight watchers, Senior Citizens, , youth groups, junior sporting clubs or similar organisations. If use of the park is required for your event a separate application may be required to be submitted to Brisbane City Council.
Dimensions of the hall are 11.5m x 7.8m (a total of 89.7m2), thus able to carry 22 people at one time. The verandah is a further 18.5m x 4.5m (83.25m2).

Rules
Because our building is owned by the Brisbane City Council restrictions apply regarding noise levels and the consumption of alcohol on site. As such, we can not hire the hall for events such as 18th and 21st birthday parities, pop or rock groups or youth parties.
Public risk insurance does not have to be obtained by private hirers e.g. a child’s birthday party but councils, businesses, clubs and community organisations must have $10 million public liability insurance and must be able to supply a certificate of currency as evidence of their cover.
Additional details
For parking, you need to enter via Nadine Street into the Simpson Parklands. There is limited internal parking and further Council parking areas nearby.
Brisbane City Council services the 104 and 105 services that stop 200m away from the Hall.
