SpacetoCo Host since June 2025Located on the scenic Geraldton Foreshore with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre (GMC) is a venue ideal for a wide range of events - from meetings and training sessions to workshops, birthday parties and private functions. The GMC has four spaces available for hire, including a large Function Room that can accommodate up to 120 guests, a Meeting Room which can be configured for small or large groups, a 12-person Seminar Room and a commercial-grade Kitchen.

About this space
The Function Room is our largest space available for hire and is suitable for birthday parties, sundowners, training, workshops and much more. It features a verandah that opens up to stunning ocean views. The verandah is a popular spot for guests to enjoy drinks and finger foods, and makes a great backdrop for photos. A small courtyard outside the room adds to the space's flexibility and offers an additional area for guests to mingle.
Please refer to our Fees & Charges document for pricing. A bond of $500 applies to bookings without alcohol, while bookings with alcohol require a $1,500 bond.
The room connects directly to a commercial-grade kitchen and bar area, both of which feature serving windows that can be opened or closed to suit the style of your event.
The Function Room accommodates:
Up to 80 people seated at tables, or
Up to 120 people seated theatre-style.

Access to chairs, cocktail tables, trestle tables, round tables and tablecloths

Rules
Cancellation / change fees apply as per the schedule of fees & charges:
Cancellations or adjustments made 15-30 days before the event, will incur a charge of 20% of the hire fee.
Cancellations or adjustments made 8-14 days before the event, will incur a charge of 50% of the hire fee.
Cancellations or adjustments made 7 days or fewer before the event, will incur a charge of 100% of the hire fee.
No smoke machines or pyrotechnics are to be used in the GMC function spaces and smoking is prohibited throughout the venue, and within 10 metres of the building.
Use of blu-tack, sticky tape and thumb tacks for decorations is not permitted.
The venue cannot be accessed prior to or after the approved booking time. Additional fees will be incurred if the hirer accesses the facility outside of the approved booking times
The hirer is fully responsible for setting up and breaking down their function, this includes tables, chairs, decorations, crockery/cutlery etc.
The hirer is fully responsible for providing their own catering and beverages, including coffee, tea, milk and sugar.
The hirer is responsible for bringing technical equipment, including connections for the HDMI inputs for the projectors and TV screens that are available within the rooms. It is highly recommended to test all equipment before your function/event begins to avoid disruptions.
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that all equipment used is cleaned and returned to the correct storage areas.
The hirer is responsible for leaving the facility in a clean and tidy condition.
Please ensure that any utilities (e.g. lights, air-conditioning) are switched off and all windows, doors and gates are securely locked upon departure.
All rubbish is to be disposed of in the waste disposal compound.
Additional details
There are plenty of free parking bays available outside the venue, including ACROD parking bays. Please note that parking may be limited during peak times, such as after-school, school holidays etc.
