About this space
The sport court at the Georgetown Multi-Purpose Centre is a flexible space designed to meet a variety of needs. Primarily it serves as our tennis, basketball, and netball court, offering plenty of room for sport and recreational activities. This adaptable space can also be used for markets, training sessions, workshops, and more.
Suitable for: 200 standing
The sport court is a spacious, versatile semi indoor venue, suitable for a wide range of activities. It shows markings for tennis, basketball, netball, and other sports, offering flexibility for various athletic events. The area is enclosed by a net, ensuring safety and separation from the surrounding environment. The expansive size and open layout also make it suitable for non-sporting activities such as clinics, dance sessions, workshops, and exhibitions.
You are welcome to decorate the space for your event. However, you can not use pins or anything that would cause damage to walls, ceilings or floors. Please note the space must be left as you found it, so all decorations, including ties must be removed. Please book the time you need in the space to set up, pack down and clean. The space is large enough for a bouncy castle.
Sport court is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible toilet available, as well as a baby changing station.
The Georgetown Multi-Purpose Centre is next door to our Community Pool and Greens park, and close to the towns main street, which has the roadhouse, Post Office, fruit and veg store, rural store, butcher, and pub.
