Booking Restrictions
At the April 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council considered a restriction on the use of GO Edwards Park for large scale events (500+ attendees) to preserve the wetlands and protect its flora and fauna effective immediately until the completion of the Public Open Space Strategy.

Until then, the Town will not be approving any large scale events...

We hired area 5 of the GO Edwards Park for our small (40pax) work Christmas Function. The booking process is great and the communication with the council was excellent. The area is fantastic, lots of shade and enough space for the kids to run around. Lots of areas for the kids to explore and play and the adults to sit and relax. Access to the car park was great. The only let down was the state of the toilets, our group arrived from 10.30am and even then the toilets were in a disgusting mess, no soap and no toilet seats. Considering how many people were in the park on the Sunday of our event I would have expected a better cleaning regime, it looks as though they had not been attended to over the weekend at all. Aside for the toilet facilities all other aspects of the area were great - we will use this area again.

Great facilities for a community function. Very clean, easily accessible and local to the community we are serving.

The park is beautiful and the booking was totally hastle free. Victoria Park council was amazing and very kind to accommodate our booking. =)
