About this space
Book Town Hall for your next performance, conference or event. Town Hall is a dry hire venue. All AV production equipment, tech operator and furniture needs to be outsourced.
Built in 1887 and located in the heart of Fremantle, this heritage-listed venue combines historic charm with versatile functionality, making it ideal for a wide range of events. Hire the entire hall which includes the atrium, backstage greenroom and toilets. This booking does not include access to the front room. Access to the front room can be requested during the check-out process and is subject to availability.
Rates:
Community hourly rate: $60 p/hour
Commerical hourly rate: $110.00 p/hour
Community Day Rate: $480.00 8hrs+
Commerical Day Rate: $880.00 8hrs+
Town Hall is a dry hire venue. Hirers will need to outsource their own furniture and equipment. The following amenities are available to hirers:
Fully restored grand main hall with ornate architectural details and stage.
295 maroon upholstered chairs (hirer to set up and pack down)
10 x trestle tables
8 x VIP silver bollards with red rope
127 balcony seating plus 3 accessible seats
Supper room available for food service (not kitchen use)

There is no air-conditioning or heating throughout the venue

Inductions
Venue inductions are mandatory for all first-time Town Hall medium to high-risk bookings. An induction fee will apply.

Rules
Min 3 hours applies to hourly bookings
Town Hall is not available to hire for private events i.e weddings, birthday parties, corporate invite events.
The hirer must complete the mandatory venue induction prior to receiving access.
No equipment can be left in the venue after the booking.
Rubbish is removed and the venue is left in a clean and tidy state. If excess cleaning is required, the cost will be taken from the bond.
Security must be present at all events held at Town Hall. Depending on the scale of the event, external security will be requested at an external cost to the hirer.
Should alcohol be sold, approval from the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor is required.
Catering must be prepared offsite. There is no cooking permitted.
You are mindful of noise levels emanating from the facility. Amplified sound is kept to a minimum.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to set and pack down downs. Tables and chairs are not dragged across the floor. Chair trolleys are available to use at the venue.
Tape is not tied, attached or stuck to floors and walls.
Allow time for bump in and bump out when setting your booking times. Early access or late collection will incur a fee.
All lights must be turned off and doors locked before departing.
Hirer is liable for all damages caused during the booking,
Keys must be collected from the Walyalup Civic Centre reception between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday the week of the event.

Public Liability Insurance is required to be provided to the City before the booking is approved for sporting bodies, clubs, associations, schools, corporations or incorporated bodies and/commercial entities OR any regular bookings exceeding 12 booking in a calendar year.

There is no allocated parking for bookings at Town Hall
Paid street parking is available along Wilson Street and Adeliade Street.
The closest all-day parking is Parry Street carpark (350m away). Parking fees apply ($14 p day)
Loading zones are located on Adeliade Street and William Street and can be used by serviced vehicles only, up to 15 mins free of charge. If you require longer please email [email protected] to apply for a permit. Additional fees apply.
All day street parking permits for standard vehicles are available available online. Fees apply: $39 p day/p bay for non-specific bay or $88.00 for specific reserved bay permit.
