About this space
Calista Oval is centrally located in the middle of the Kwinana Town Centre. The oval is surrounded by the Edge Skate Park on the eastern side and Kwinana Adventure Park to the north, as well as a smaller park at the southwest end.
Public Toilets are located within Kwinana Adventure Park.

5.6 The following fees and charges may be deducted from the bond (at the absolute discretion of the City): additional hire time; repairs to the hired facility, equipment, surroundings; missing or damaged keys; removal of decorations or damage to walls; additional cleaning and security call outs; and multiple attempts to refund bond due to incorrect bank details in accordance with the City Schedule of Fees and Charges.
Bouncy castles and other amusement rides are required to hold relevant public liability insurance and WorkSafe registration. For Class 1 amusement devices which are exempt from registration, a certificate of structural compliance is required to be held.
Any electrical equipment must be tagged and tested to ensure that it is in safe working order.
For any water-based rides e.g. dunk tanks, water slides are proposed, the body of water must be dosed to 3ppm chlorine before patrons enter the ride, hand sanitiser provided to patrons, and the operator needs to ensure there is adequate staff to manage the activity.
Petting zoos, including animal farms, wildlife displays and pony rides, are required to hold the relevant public liability insurance and comply with the Health Department’s Petting Zoo Guidelines. There must be alcohol-based hand sanitisers located at entry and exit points, with signs at these locations to remind visitors to use the hand sanitisers. All waste must be disposed of appropriately in approved bins or landfill facilities. Staff must always be present, and a first aid kit must be available.

No adhesive substances to be used on walls, doors, windows, or ceilings such as blu tak or sticky tape.
Nothing is to be fixed to walls, ceilings, windows, or doors.
No pegs to be used on grounds. Please use alternatives such as water weights and sandbags.
No vehicle access is permitted without prior approval of the City, please message for approval.
Not tent or marquee to be erected without prior approval from the City, please message for approval.
No stakes or pickets without prior consent from the City, please message for approval.
No tying items down to trees, fencing, fixed equipment, or buildings.
No confetti, rice, glitter, glitter shapes or balloons to be released within facilities or surroundings.
No barbeques, candles, gas bottles, open flames, portable stoves or ovens, fireworks, kerosene or spirit type lamps, spit roasts within facilities.
No fire of any type may be lit in the surrounding grounds of any facility.
No smoke machines or bubble makers are permitted inside facilities but may be used within the grounds with permission from the City, please message for approval.
Electrical equipment must be approved by the City before being used, please message for approval.
Event lighting, portable bars and drink/slushy machines may only be used with permission from the City, please message for approval.
Special Event hire fees may apply for ticketed events, additional Special Event charges to be added at time of booking, if Special Event charges are not selected, they will be charged at processing.
No Alcohol in Public Open Space.
No Anti-Social behaviour.

There is sufficient parking available off Walgreen Cr. Street parking is also available around the Western edge of Calista Oval on Walgreen Crescent.
Please do not park on verges or footpaths.
Overflow parking is available throughout the City Centre, only a two minute walk.
The City encourages the use of public transport or walking or cycling instead.
Calista Oval is also well serviced by public transport, with buses 540, 541 and 549 stopping nearby. Please visit the Transperth website for timetables.
There are ample bike racks available at the entrances to the Kwinana Adventure Park.
