About this space

The Design Inc Colab Room is a light filled multi purpose space located upstairs at Tiwu Kumangka.
It is a great space for workshops and table based activities.
The room is furnished with tables and chairs that can be arranged as per your requirements, ensuring the flexibility of the space.
Please ensure to allow time for bump in and bump out when placing your booking.
Should you wish to use the in room AV screen, please BYO a laptop and HDMI cord.
The $11/hr fee applies to City of Mitcham residents, low cost community groups, City of Mitcham businesses (with premises in council area), Not for Profit groups & Government organisations.
A surcharge applies for non City of Mitcham residents/businesses or commercial out of area entities.
Bookings for this room must be for 10 people or above.
The Colab Room can be booked separately or in combination with the adjoining the Art Room, please hire both areas if this is required.
This space is currently bookable during venue opening hours Monday - Friday.

100% refund on cancellations up until 24 hours before your booking. After that, there are no refunds on cancellation.

Parking and Public Transport Information

Parking available onsite, enter off Young Street.
Please note that there are road works taking place on Young Street from July 2025 until December 2025.
Parking along and off of Young Street may be impacted.
Additional parking available along Waite Street and in the rear carpark located on Edward Street.
