About this space
Gwendoline Children’s Centre offers a medium-sized community room for hire. A bright, flexible space perfect for health and wellbeing programs, meetings, family and children’s activities, education sessions, and celebrations. The room measures 13.79 metres long by 9.13 metres wide with a sloping ceiling height of 2.89–3.97 metres. It can accommodate up to 70 people standing or 40 people seated around tables, with natural light, floorboards and carpet, and a relaxed atmosphere.
It connects to a fully equipped kitchen at no extra charge, including crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, children’s plates, bowls and cups, and highchairs. Features include a TV with audio-visual capabilities, adult- and child-sized tables and chairs, a children’s toilet inside the room, a secure outdoor yard with a sandpit, heating and cooling split systems, and ceiling fans. The room is wheelchair accessible and offers a practical, welcoming venue for a wide range of programs and events.
Conveniently located at 25 Gwendoline Drive, Berwick VIC 3806, with onsite parking, Children's Park opposite the centre and easy public transport access.

All attendees must follow the Conditions of Hire.
Be considerate of others by keeping noise to a minimum.
Access
Rooms must only be used between approved hire times.
Any space not booked is restricted during your hire including common areas.
All bookings must include time for set up, pack up and cleaning.
Safety & Capacity:
Follow Council emergency and evacuation procedures.
Children under 18 must remain in the room and be supervised.
Do not exceed the room’s maximum seated or standing capacity.
Alcohol
- No alcohol permitted.
Insurance
- Public liability insurance (PLI) of $20 million is required for all venue hires. Any third-party contractors you engage, such as caterers, entertainers, equipment suppliers, or other service providers involved in your event, must also provide PLI of $20 million.
