About this space

The Lerderderg Library meeting rooms can be hired by members of the public, community groups, or businesses that require facilities for training sessions and/or business facilitation. Geoffrey Hine room has a capacity of 6 people with portable white board is available for use. No crockery, cutlery, or consumables are provided. Hirers are welcome to bring their own tea, coffee, and catering, however all waste must be disposed of, and no washing-up facilities are provided.

Rules

The hirer shall leave the meeting room/s in a clean and tidy state with tables/benches cleaned and any Council owned equipment left in the meeting room. All tables and chairs must be put back in the position they were in when the room was hired. As the Lerderderg Library is a public building smoking and the burning of any naked flame, including candles is strictly prohibited. Hirers must supply any required consumables and crockery and dispose of any waste prior to leaving the premises.

There will be a security deposit of $200.00 payable prior to use. An inspection of the facility will be undertaken, and the deposit will be refunded if the facility is left in the same condition as it was prior to hire. In the event of damage to the building or its contents, where it is necessary for lodgement of an insurance claim (if the damage is greater than the $200.00 security deposit, the group responsible for the damage is also responsible for the insurance policy excess, which is currently $1000.00.

100% refund on cancellations up until 5 days before your booking. After that, cancel and get a 50% refund.
Parking and Public Transport Information

There are two designated parking spaces in the vicinity of Lerderderg Library. One is located outside the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall (approx. 40 metres from Lerderderg Library). The other is located in the carpark at the rear of the Village Green (approx. 120 metres from Lerderderg Library). There are also two designated disability parking spaces in the carpark outside The Elms Medical Centre (rear of the UFS Pharmacy and Post Office) (approx. 220 metres from Lerderderg Library).

Lerderderg Library has two Electric mobility scooter/wheelchair recharge points. One can be found in the entry foyer of the Library to the right of the AED station. The second point can be found to the right of the large window facing out to the corner of Main Street and Lord Street inside the Library.
