Bungaree Mechanics Hall – The historic Bungaree Mechanics Hall is a versatile community facility offering two distinct spaces: a large hall with stage and a smaller supper/meeting room, ideal for everything from concerts and performances to private functions and community meetings.

Main Hall Features:

• Spacious hall with a large stage – perfect for performances, concerts, and presentations

• Dimensions: 17.1 x 9.1 metres

• Capacity: 180–200 people

Supper Room Features:

• Ideal for smaller functions, meetings, or catering support

• Dimensions: 13.4 x 6 metres

• Capacity: Up to 100 people

Kitchen Amenities:

• Well-appointed kitchen with:

  • Wall oven, cooktop, microwave, pie warmer, urn, fridge

  • Cutlery and crockery

  • Ample bench space

  • Server window to the supper/meeting room

Comfort & Climate Control:

• Both the main hall and supper room feature split system heating and cooling for year-round comfort

Community Use & Legacy: Used regularly by local community groups, private functions, and public events, the Bungaree Mechanics Hall is a cherished part of the district’s history. Originally opened in 1894, the hall was rebuilt after a cyclone destroyed the first building in 1927. The current hall was officially opened in 1928, continuing its legacy as a central gathering place for the Bungaree community.

Security Deposit & Conditions - A $200.00 security deposit is required prior to use. The facility will be inspected before and after your booking. The deposit will be refunded if the space is left in its original condition. If damage occurs and an insurance claim is necessary, the responsible party must cover the $1,000.00 insurance excess in addition to the deposit.
