About this Space

Claisebrook Design Community (CBDC) brings to Perth a co-working space for everybody. From the solo freelancer to the industrial mad-scientist, we have spaces to accommodate any venture. Our building is designed to bring a true diversity to co-working, fostering and inspiring an innovative community of thinkers and tinkerers, creators and makers. From one hour to long-term membership, CBDC has an option for you.

THE GATHER SPACE
This space is a unique and flexible area of CBDC suitable for whatever you can imagine! Product launches, screenings, presentations, meet-ups, parties, workshops and more.

Capacities:
40 people seated at tables for workshops.
70 people seated theatre style for screenings or speaker presentations.
100 people standing cocktail style.
100-150 people standing when used in conjunction with The Workshop.
100-250 people for parties including the use (upon application) in conjunction with our onsite cafe Sayers Little Brother.

Sayers Little Brother is our preferred caterer as they are onsite, can cater for all events and will take care of clean up & rubbish disposal. If you wish to BYO catering of any kind, please check with us first as some restrictions apply and further charges may also apply.

Rules

AFTER HOURS EVENTS
An extra hour's charge will be applied for events that run after 6pm or on weekends. Please see additional charges or enquire before requesting your booking.

DISPLAY AND SIGNAGE

Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or other surface of the building.
Signage in public areas must be approved by management.
Table scatters, confetti or glitter of any kind may not be used without prior consent from management. A $200 cleaning fee will be charged.
Candles or naked flame of any sort is not permitted at CBDC.

SUPPLIERS, DECORATORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS
Some items may not be permitted at CBDC. Please discuss with management.
CBDC has no restrictions on suppliers, however please liaise with management about delivery, contact numbers and times of deliveries. CBDC is not responsible for missed deliveries.
Suppliers, decorators and subcontractors MUST have relevant Public Liability Insurance.
The suppliers are responsible for pickup and delivery within CBDC guidelines.
Pick up must be on events conclusion or storage fees may apply.
Storage is not guaranteed.
All electrical equipment being brought into CBDC including extension cords must have a current test and tag. If the equipment is not tested and tagged it will be condemned and not be allowed in CBDC.
No open flames, candles or sparklers are permitted.
CBDC will NOT accept any responsibility for damage or loss or materials left on the property prior to, during or after an event.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
You are responsible for the conduct of all guests and will take full responsibility for any damage to persons or property caused by client or guests and will pay incurred costs or cover any loss of business.
Damage includes misuse of emergency systems such as unnecessary activation.
CBDC will not be held responsible for any damage or loss.

HIRE OF EQUIPMENT
If you are hiring any of CBDC’s equipment (eg, projector, screen, PA system, audio system, furniture, catering equipment,) you accept all responsibility for any damage arising from misuse or failure to follow procedures.
Instruction and demonstration of correct use of equipment will be provided.

SECURITY
The requirement for security will be at the discretion of CBDC. All security required will be at the expense of the client.
CBDC insists on the responsible service of alcohol and intoxicated guests will be asked to leave. This is not negotiable.

UNDERAGE GUESTS
Underage guests will only be permitted at the discretion of CBDC and only if accompanied by a legal guardian at all times. They may never leave the function room unless leaving the premises.
Consumption of alcohol by anyone under the age of 18 is illegal and is strictly forbidden.
