About this space

Due to some of our trees being removed from Hyde Park throughout March 2024 due to an insect infestation called the Polyphagous shot-hole borer we are not taking any new bookings.

Hyde Park is still a public open space and you are welcome to use the park

The Water Playground will be on as of the 1st November 8am -8pm daily till the 31/3/2024

This gazebo at Hyde Park is located right beside the Hyde Park Water Playground, which is in walking distance to toilets and a traditional playground.

Hyde Park is a well-established park bounded by Vincent, Glendower, Throssell and William Streets. Its lake feature is divided into two basins with islands. Each portion of the lake has an island occupied by breeding birds.

The water park will be in operation till end of day 2nd April 2023 from 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week

Power is accessible inside the Gazebo. Please note that these gazebos are extremely popular and availability is limited especially during summer months.

  • No Petting Zoo's or Bouncy Castles

  • While there are access ramps and concrete paths throughout the park, not all facilities and spaces located within the park are fully accessible. Accessible toilet facilities are located in both the eastern side and western side toilet blocks

Hyde Park is an ideal location for weddings ceremonies, birthdays, picnics, or BBQ’s. Hyde Park has been divided into 17 zones that may be booked. There are two gazebos and a stage that are available for hire. The two gazebos are located at HP1 and HP 16, the stage is located at HP4.

Please ensure you have read and understood the Rules section prior to booking. If you wish to apply for a waiver of fees, please contact the City of Vincent on 9273 6000 or via [email protected]

  • Ensure you have parked your vehicle within the lines or area permitted.

  • Check that you know the times you are allowed to park and allow yourself time to return before your parking expires.

  • Refrain from parking in No Stopping areas, No Parking areas, Loading Zones or in Bus Stops and bays.

  • Do not park on verges without permission from the property owner or on a verge where signage prohibits the action.

  • Do not park in bays for other types of vehicles (e.g. motorcycles, bicycles, taxis), in rights of way, in a way that obstructs a driveway or footpath or facing against the traffic flow.

  • In ticket parking zones, ensure that you display your ticket the right side up and in a prominent place, or have a valid EasyPark session started, before you leave your vehicle.

  • If you have a current ACROD permit ensure it is clearly visible.

  • Do not use disabled only parking areas for parking, loading or unloading, unless you hold a valid ACROD permit, even if the vehicle is occupied.
