We are passionate about bringing the community together through local events & welcome travellers to experience our hospitable village. By making a booking, you are assisting us in maintaining & improving our facilities, as we strive to offer both locals and visitors a place to connect, celebrate, and experience the best of our region.

About this space
The Wingen Recreational Sports Ground is a spacious, multi-use facility designed to support a wide range of community and equestrian activities. With easy access, located just off the New England Highway and only 15 minutes North of Scone, the grounds are ideal for exercising horses, hosting equestrian events, providing temporary livestock accommodation, camping and private/community events.
With suitable riding spaces, quality fencing, and convenient access for floats and trailers, the venue caters comfortably to horse owners, trainers, and event organisers alike. Beyond equestrian use, the grounds also serve as a flexible community venue — perfect for markets, private functions, and local events.
Facilities include a large open arena (with lights), sand arena, cattle yards, accessible parking, toilet amenities, canteen/bar facilities, secretaries/announcers office, shaded viewing areas and a playground.
Exclusive hire of the sports ground and includes access to all of the above facilities.
Hire fee $25/hr or $250/day.
If you wish to book our grounds for a whole day, please booking for 10 hours to ensure that the maximum charge is $250.
*Please note - additional charges apply to the use of main arena lights.

Please leave venue clean, failure to do so will result in loss of bond.
Please do not park in front of/block entry to the fire shed.
Please place rubbish in the bins provided.
BYO alcohol permitted, the sale of alcohol must be accompanied with an approved liquor license.
Please respect neighbours by keeping noise to a reasonable level, especially after 9:00 pm.
Please return the key in the lockbox (if applicable).
