Westbury Town Hall

Westbury Town hall was built in 1933 and with its hardwood floors, high ceilings, stage, and climate-controlled space make it an ideal venue for presentations, conferences, and performances.

This heated space includes a large hall reminiscent of community halls of yesteryear. There is a smaller "supper room" adjacent which includes a kitchen space which can cater for small groups or be arranged to serve large groups. The amenities for the hall are public which should be considered when hiring as well as the residential nature of the setting.

Public Wi-Fi is available in this heated space. There are 150 stackable chairs and 20 trestle tables available.

The cost for the full facility is $34 per hour, but the Main Hall and supper room/kitchen can be booked separately for $19 and $29 respectively. There is a maximum daily fee of $150. There is a bond of $56 for a key and a venue bond of $140 if alcohol isn't consumed during your booking or $420 if Alcohol is provided.

The hall has slots available for regular hire! We have reduced rates for regular bookings, message us through this page to discuss what you need. We currently play host to dinners, church services, garden shows, and a children's playgroup on a regular basis. Regular bookings are invoiced monthly.

The hall caters for 350 seated guests in an auditorium setting or 250 seated for a dinner. The supper room caters to 90 guests seated for dinner or 40 seated for meetings.

There is a kitchen with 2 ovens and 2 pie warmers which has a service window through to the supper room. There is limited cookware, crockery and cutlery, please make specific enquiries if you're planning on using this kitchen to cater. This space is appropriate for caterers to serve pre-prepared food. The space has ample power points, but any AV equipment would need to be provided by the hirer. There aren't any points for rigging lighting or projection equipment so stands would need to be arranged.

You are welcome to decorate the hall space for your event. However, you cannot use pins or tape or anything that would damage the hall walls. Blu tac is OK. Please note the hall must be left as you found it, so all decorations - including ties must be removed. Please no confetti, rice or party poppers in the outside area. It's fine to use an external event hire company if you want to bring your own furniture, table cloths, drapes etc. All decorations and anything you have brought in for your event must be removed by the end of your booking, we can't accommodate storage or set up/pack down before or after your booking time has ended. Please book the time you need in the hall space to set up, pack down and clean as the hall may be used directly before or after you.

The hall and supper room are wheelchair accessible. have wheelchair access and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. If your booking is within working hours a staff member will be available for access otherwise a key will be arranged. There are 2 accessible car parking spaces. There is also a baby changing available in the accessible bathroom.

There's post office, service station, and supermarket within a 5 minute drive of the venue. It is only a short walk to the Village Green.

There are 15 free carparking spaces and 2 accessible carparking space at the venue on a first come first serve basis. On street parking is also free.
