Indoor Centre for hire in New Lynn, Perfect for Large Events and Cricket Training

Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club (SNLCC) is based at Ken Maunder Park and is one of Auckland’s leading cricket clubs with a long and successful history. We are a proud part of the West Auckland community and we're happy to share our facilities with you.

Our indoor training centre is a fantastic space for a team get together or larger event. It is both a state of the art cricket training facility that can be booked for cricket-themed team events and also a blank space event venue where you can really make it your own. For cricket-themed events, the facility has 5 lanes to a 45/20m area. It has changing rooms, toilets and cricket kit can be rented at checkout. A great option is to rent the centre and nets, and also book the mezzanine viewing room as well, as this overlooks the training Centre. You can have a 50% discount on the mezzanine room with any training centre booking. Use code MEZZ50 when you book that space.

Because this is a sports training facility, the availability may not be 100% accurate. Please message us to check or make a booking and we will contact you if not available.

For sports teams and clubs, this is a great wet weather indoor training facility, as it's a big space with astroturf. No spiked shoes allowed on the turf, please. This is also a great space to host a school holiday program, fitness classes or boot camps. Contact us for regular or bulk hire arrangements.

For larger events, the space can be transformed. The ceiling is 6.5m high, with options for rigging if you need. There are 4 beams and each beam can support 600kg. Therefore this space would work for circus or aerial acrobatics. It's also ideal for filming if you need a green screen. You can use external event hire to bring in furniture and create the look and feel you want for the space.

The space includes chairs, whiteboard and markers and two changing rooms with showers.

The space has no kitchen or food prep facilities. If you're using it for a sports event, like team training, there is no eating or drinking in the training centre. We recommend you book the mezzanine space for eating and drinking. If you're booking for a large event that will be catered, please chat to us about food and drink arrangements.

You can put up decorations in this space, but please no pins on the walls. Blue tac or tape is fine as long as it is removed

This is a ground floor space and is wheelchair accessible. The toilets and changing facilities are also on the ground floor. There is no disabled toilet. When your booking is accepted, you'll be given an access code for entry. Please make sure you book enough time to set up and pack down your event.

Our venue is situated in the beautiful Ken Maunder Park. The park has flat easy walkways with views over the Whau River. The park is part of the Te Whau cycleway and a path that links all the way to Olympic Park. The nearest town is New Lynn, which is a 12-minute walk. There are big supermarkets, cafes and bars here.
