COVID-19 Response: As restrictions change in South Australia, our COVID-Safe Plan for the space will adapt and as a user of the space, you will need to abide by our plan regarding social distancing, sitting while drinking, restricted capacity, no shared catering, etc. You may also be required to engage security guard/s for the duration of the event to enforce social distancing depending on the nature and size of the event. We are acting in line with State Government sentiment and rulings, and therefore currently our facility is generally not suitable for larger gatherings and celebrations, however is suitable for smaller community meetings, business activities and seated meetings. Tirkanthi Kuu is a modern space designed for meetings, training session and seminars for up to 40 people seated, and events and functions for up to 60 people standing. This light filled room has access to a balcony overlooking Prospect Road, and is located within Payinthi, City of Prospect's stunning new Civic Centre at 128 Prospect Road, 5 minuntes drive from Adelaide city centre.
The table and chair configuration is flexible with boardroom, workshop or theatre style all available to suit the needs of the activities in the space. Tables can also be stored away to create theatre style seating for training sessions or to convert the entire room into a function space. There are two large projector screens for presentations and online meetings, fast WIFI, adjustable lighting and a small kitchenette available within the room.

We can discuss customising your event or function to work within our regular opening hours in various spaces, or outside of hours depending on your individual needs. We have a range of community groups, businesses and individuals that use our spaces, and do so in different ways. So to ensure our venues and hire spaces are welcoming, tidy and well cared for, we do have some basic rules to help us all. Additionally we have detailed Terms & Conditions (link below) and these apply to all bookings. Please ensure you take time to read our rules and likewise understand the 'nitty gritty' of our Terms & Conditions.
Here are some house keeping rules to cover the basics :
Wipe tables down so they are clean for the next user and put chairs back on trolleys. These items then need to be stored in the furniture store room
Ensure you sweep before you depart
Leave the space clean and tidy, with rubbish in the three bin system provided
Report any issues to us at any time during your hire
Remember our spaces are shared, so we require everyone to look after the areas, and leave them suitable for the next hirer
All of our spaces are non-smoking
For larger events and functions, a cleaning fee and bond may be applied. This will be confirmed with you prior to booking finalisation by our Venue Booking Officer.

Please be aware of South Australia's ban on single-use plastic with drinking straws, stirrers and cutlery. Council has also adopted a 100% compostable (not biodegradable) approach to all crockery/cutlery and drinkware used in all our halls and parks along with a no balloon position in our efforts to reduce landfill.
Tirkanthi Kuu is located on level 1 of Payinthi building.
Parking is available at the rear of Payinthi and along side streets nearby, with disabled parking in the rear parking area (between Olive Street and Vine Street).
Adelaide Metro is Adelaide's public transport provider, and the G10 bus gets you down Prospect Road. Payinthi sits between bus stops 11 and 12 on Prospect Road, and full timetable information is available on Adelaide Metro's website www.adelaidemetro.com.au
