A great space for a small sewing group - there was room for 5 participants. We were able to use the nearby kitchen to make a cuppa - but appreciated this may not always be available (unless booked!)

Span Community House is a dynamic hub of community, learning, support, and sustainability, located in the heart of Thornbury. We are refreshing our rooms in 2026 with a focus on decluttering and repainting. The Kookaburra room and kitchen are now repainted in a fresh white adding lovely light. The Lyrebird room has had the green cornice painted out and lots of the artwork has been removed, but still needs another coat of paint. It's an improvement on the photos. :-)
