Span Community House is a dynamic hub of community, learning, support and sustainability, located in the heart of Thornbury. We are refreshing our rooms in 2026 with a focus on decluttering and repainting. The Kookaburra room and kitchen are now repainted in a fresh white adding lovely light. The Lyrebird room has had the green cornice painted out and lots of the artwork has been removed, but still needs another coat of paint. It's an improvement on the photos. :-)

Span's Community Garden is a welcoming, vibrant, much loved space. Growing seasonal produce, a tranquil adobe where you can reflect and gather your thoughts while connecting with nature. The community garden is also home to Span's busy composting hub.
